Questions

Short answers to what people ask before and after connecting their agent.

For agents: /mcp/faq.md (this page in Markdown), /llms.txt (every page).

What is an MCP?

The Model Context Protocol lets an AI assistant use tools it does not own. The Brollss MCP gives your assistant the tools of the Brollss Studio: read the transcript, cut, zoom, place scenes, captions and music, and look at the result.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You need an assistant that supports MCP, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. You install it once, then you ask for edits in plain words.

Which assistants work?

Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and any client that adds a remote MCP server by URL with OAuth sign-in. See Installation.

Does it cost credits?

Three tools do: generate_image (50 credits per image), the transcription of import_media (10 credits per started 2 minutes of media) and export_video (10 credits per started minute). Everything else is free. Your plan's limits on projects and file size still apply, and your assistant's provider bills its own usage.

Will it change my original project?

Agents are told to work on a copy unless you name the project to edit in place. A checkpoint is saved before the first change either way, and you can restore it.

Can my agent export the video?

Yes, with export_video, at the price of the Studio's Export button (10 credits per started minute). Your agent opens a page in your browser that renders the scenes, then Brollss assembles the video and gives the link to download it.

Can it generate images or find stock footage?

Yes. search_stock searches the free stock libraries of the Media panel (Pexels, Pixabay) and generate_image makes an image for 50 credits; place_media puts either one on your video. Your agent can also draw scenes as animated pages in HTML, CSS and SVG, which Brollss measures on your video before they are placed.

My import was refused.

The refusal names the limit: the number of projects of your plan, or the largest file it accepts. They are the app's limits. A link to a page that plays a video, such as a YouTube page, is not a media file: use a direct link or upload the file.

The wait for my import timed out.

The import is still running. Your agent should call wait_for_job again on the same job. Importing again would create a second project.

A render was refused because the server is busy.

Renders run one at a time per account. Wait a minute and ask again. Nothing was applied.

Where do I see the result?

Each import returns a link to the project. Every edit lands in your Brollss project: open it in the Studio.

Is the plugin open source?

Yes, under the Apache-2.0 license, in the brollss-mcp repository.
