# Ask your agent to edit your video. > Connect Brollss to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or Codex, and hand it a recording. It cuts, zooms, draws scenes, adds captions and music, then checks its own edit before you open it in the Studio. Web page: https://brollss.com/mcp. All MCP pages: https://brollss.com/llms.txt (index) and https://brollss.com/mcp/llms-full.txt (everything in one file). ## What your agent can do - Import a video from your computer or from a direct link, and wait for the transcript. - Read the whole transcript, cut retakes, fillers and tangents, and open on the strongest sentence. - Zoom on a sentence, or on the part of the screen the speaker points at, and circle it. - Draw animated scenes over or beside the speaker. Each one is measured on the real video before it is placed. - Add captions, music and sound effects, then measure the mix against the voice. - Look at the final picture and check the whole edit before calling it finished. ## Who it is for Creators who already work with an AI agent and want to hand it a recording. The agent follows a style guide picked for the video: face to camera, screen tutorial, two-voice podcast or slide talk. It reads your standing instructions from your Brollss account, so it edits the way you asked the Studio's copilot to edit. ## Connected in two minutes 1. **Add Brollss to your agent.** Pick your client. 2. **Sign in and allow.** On the first call, your client opens a Brollss page. Sign in, check the client's name, click Allow. 3. **Ask for your edit.** In your own words. Then open the project in the Studio to watch it, adjust it and export it. ### Claude Code Install the plugin. It brings the server, the skills and the working rules. ``` /plugin marketplace add smfcoder17/brollss-mcp /plugin install brollss@brollss ``` Or add the server alone: ``` claude mcp add --transport http brollss https://brollss.com/api/mcp ``` ### Claude Desktop Open Settings, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector. The same steps work on claude.ai. Name it Brollss and paste this address: ``` https://brollss.com/api/mcp ``` ### Cursor With Cursor installed, open this link: [Add to Cursor](cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=Brollss&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2Jyb2xsc3MuY29tL2FwaS9tY3AifQ==) Or add it by hand to ~/.cursor/mcp.json: ``` { "mcpServers": { "brollss": { "url": "https://brollss.com/api/mcp" } } } ``` ### Codex Add the server to ~/.codex/config.toml: ``` [mcp_servers.brollss] url = "https://brollss.com/api/mcp" ``` Then sign in: ``` codex mcp login brollss ``` ### Other clients Add a remote MCP server by URL, over streamable HTTP, with OAuth as the authentication: ``` https://brollss.com/api/mcp ``` > A first request that costs nothing: "Use Brollss and tell me which account I'm connected as." [Full installation guide](https://brollss.com/mcp/install.md) ## Ask in your own words Requests that work today. Copy one into your agent and change the file name. **A full edit, from the raw file** ``` Import ~/Videos/interview.mp4 into Brollss and make a publishable edit: cut the hesitations and retakes, open on the strongest sentence, add scenes where they help, captions on the key sentences and calm music under my voice. ``` **Cut the silences** ``` In my latest Brollss project, cut the long pauses and the ums, but keep a natural breath between sentences. ``` **Add scenes and zooms** ``` Add a scene that shows the three steps I list around 1:20, and zoom on the screen when I click the Export button. ``` **Music and sound** ``` Put upbeat music under the whole video, lower it under my voice, add a whoosh on each scene, then check that my voice stays clear. ``` **Captions** ``` Turn captions on for the whole video, in a bold style, at the bottom of the frame. ``` **A review before you publish** ``` Review my Brollss edit and list what to fix before I publish. Change nothing. ``` > Ask for the export too: export_video renders the video at the price of the Studio's Export button. ## It looks before it says done An agent cannot watch a video. These tools give it eyes and ears, so it checks its own edit instead of guessing. - **Your raw video** (`look_at_source`). A frame of your recording at any moment, to find your face, your screen and the button you point at. - **The final picture** (`look_at_montage`). The frame your viewer will see, with scenes, zooms and captions in place. - **Each scene, tried on your video** (`measure_scene`). Before a scene goes in, it plays over your real footage and comes back with what is broken: cut text, a covered face, a frozen moment. - **The whole edit, checked** (`check_edit`). Visuals in each other's way, long stretches with nothing to see, retakes left, a weak opening. Each point comes with its time and its fix. - **The mix, measured** (`check_audio`). Music and sound effects against your voice, in decibels. Music sits well 15 to 25 dB under the voice. ## What it can touch - **You sign in. No key to copy.** Your client opens a Brollss page that names it. Nothing is allowed until you click Allow, and your password never passes through the agent. - **Your projects, your role.** Each call acts as you, on the projects your account can open. A project shared with you read-only stays read-only. - **Your original stays intact.** The agent edits a copy, saves a checkpoint before its first change, and has to confirm any large removal. - **Your voice stays with Brollss.** Brollss transcribes on its own worker. The thinking happens in your agent: besides the transcription, the only Brollss model an MCP tool calls is the image generator of generate_image, when your agent asks for an image. [Security in detail](https://brollss.com/mcp/security.md) ## What it costs The MCP is open to every Brollss account, free plan and trials included. Your plan's limits apply exactly as in the app: the number of projects and the largest file you can import. Three tools spend Brollss credits, at the app's prices: `generate_image` (50 credits per image), the transcription of `import_media` (10 credits per started 2 minutes of media) and `export_video` (10 credits per started minute of the edited video). Every other tool is free. Your agent does the thinking and the drawing; Brollss cuts, measures and renders. Your agent's own usage is billed by its provider. Details in [Limits, credits and privacy](https://brollss.com/mcp/limits.md). ## What it does not do yet - A fixed element (an arrow, a sticker, a label that stays) cannot be placed on its own. The agent draws it inside a short scene, or tells you to place it from the Elements panel. ## Read next - [Installation](https://brollss.com/mcp/install.md): Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex and other clients. - [Tool reference](https://brollss.com/mcp/tools.md): Every tool and its parameters, generated from the server. - [Guides](https://brollss.com/mcp/guides.md): A full edit, a screen tutorial, a 9:16 short. - [Workflows](https://brollss.com/mcp/workflows.md): Import, full edit, scenes, captions and audio, review. - [Best practices](https://brollss.com/mcp/best-practices.md): The rules agents follow to edit well. - [Limits and privacy](https://brollss.com/mcp/limits.md): Plan limits, credits, what data goes where. - [Security](https://brollss.com/mcp/security.md): OAuth sign-in, scope of access, your original. - [FAQ](https://brollss.com/mcp/faq.md): Short answers. --- # Install the Brollss MCP > One server address, signed in with your Brollss account. Install the plugin to also get the working rules and the skills. Web page: https://brollss.com/mcp/install. All MCP pages: https://brollss.com/llms.txt (index) and https://brollss.com/mcp/llms-full.txt (everything in one file). ## Before you start - A Brollss account. Every plan works. - A client that speaks MCP over streamable HTTP with OAuth: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and most recent clients do. - Install the plugin or add the bare server, not both. Two connections to the same server under two names are two sessions that know nothing of each other. Server address: ``` https://brollss.com/api/mcp ``` ## Claude Code The plugin brings the server, five skills and the working rules. Add the marketplace, then install the plugin: ``` /plugin marketplace add smfcoder17/brollss-mcp /plugin install brollss@brollss ``` For the server alone, without the skills: ``` claude mcp add --transport http brollss https://brollss.com/api/mcp ``` Then ask "use Brollss to import this video and make a publishable edit". The server also offers a prompt that starts a full edit of one project: ``` /mcp__brollss__monter_une_video ``` ## Claude Desktop 1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector. 2. Name it Brollss and paste the server address above. 3. Click Connect: the Brollss page opens so you can sign in. The same steps work on claude.ai. The plugin's skills do not travel with a connector: give Claude [the best practices](https://brollss.com/mcp/best-practices.md) if you want it to follow them. ## Cursor Open this link with Cursor installed to add the server: ``` cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=Brollss&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2Jyb2xsc3MuY29tL2FwaS9tY3AifQ== ``` Or add it by hand to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for every project, or to `.cursor/mcp.json` for one: ``` { "mcpServers": { "brollss": { "url": "https://brollss.com/api/mcp" } } } ``` The working rules ship as `rules/brollss-workflows.mdc` in the [brollss-mcp repository](https://github.com/smfcoder17/brollss-mcp). Copy the file into `.cursor/rules/` and Cursor loads it with every request. ## Codex Add the server to `~/.codex/config.toml`, then sign in: ``` [mcp_servers.brollss] url = "https://brollss.com/api/mcp" ``` ``` codex mcp login brollss ``` The plugin, with the skills, installs from a clone of the repository. The repository is itself a Codex marketplace: ``` git clone https://github.com/smfcoder17/brollss-mcp codex plugin marketplace add /absolute/path/to/brollss-mcp codex plugin add brollss@brollss ``` Codex keeps its own copy of the plugin. After you pull a new version, install it again. ## Other MCP clients Any client that adds a remote MCP server by URL, over streamable HTTP, with OAuth sign-in works. Name the server `brollss`, give it the address above and pick OAuth as the authentication. The rules and the skills do not travel with a bare connection: give your agent [the best practices](https://brollss.com/mcp/best-practices.md) and [the workflows](https://brollss.com/mcp/workflows.md) instead. ## Sign in 1. On the first call, your client opens a Brollss page in your browser. 2. Sign in to your Brollss account if you are not signed in already. 3. The page names the client and the address it will send you back to. Allow it, or refuse. 4. Back in your client, the Brollss tools are listed. Ask your agent to call `whoami` to see which account is connected. From then on the agent acts as you, on the projects your account can open. ## Open source The plugin (manifests, rule, skills and their checks) is published under the Apache-2.0 license in the [brollss-mcp repository](https://github.com/smfcoder17/brollss-mcp). The server runs inside Brollss. --- # Tool reference > Every tool the server offers, with its parameters. The page is generated from the server's own registry: it lists what your agent sees, word for word. Web page: https://brollss.com/mcp/tools. All MCP pages: https://brollss.com/llms.txt (index) and https://brollss.com/mcp/llms-full.txt (everything in one file). Each tool that works on a project takes `projectId`, from `list_projects` or `clone_project`. Each write also takes `expectedRevision`, the `editRevision` you last read. Gestures that remove something from the edit take `confirm: true` when they remove a lot at once. Times are montage seconds, what the viewer sees after the cuts, unless a tool says source. > Descriptions and parameters are in English, exactly as your agent reads them. ## Projects and import Find a project, copy it before editing, import a new video and wait for its transcript. ### `whoami` *read-only* Who this connection edits as: the account email, its plan, its credits (as the app shows them), what this server may spend, and how many check renders are left today. Every tool is free except generate_image, which takes 50 credits per image from this account, the transcription of import_media (10 credits per started 2 minutes of media) and export_video (10 credits per started minute of the edited video). availableHere says whether this server reaches the stock libraries (search_stock) and the image model (generate_image); when it cannot reach the image model (a local server never can), generate_image is refused before any charge. The renders that check your work (measure_scene, look_at_montage, look_at_source, the measure of check_edit, check_audio) are free within a daily allowance per account, back at midnight UTC. No parameters. ### `list_projects` *read-only* The account's projects (its own, those shared with it and its teams'), most recently CREATED first, searched and paged over ALL of them: id, name, createdAt, updatedAt, sourceDurationSec (the length of the source video, null when unknown), format, whether it has a transcript and a video, your role, and copiedFrom (the original's id and name) for a copy. Filter by name with query (part of the name, any case). total is how many match; when nextCursor is not null, pass it back as cursor for the next page. The edited length of a project is in get_project_state (montageDurationSec). | Parameter | Type | Required | Description | |---|---|---|---| | `query` | `string` | no | Part of the project name. | | `limit` | `integer` | no | How many per page (default 20, at most 50). | | `cursor` | `string` | no | The nextCursor of the previous page. | ### `get_project_state` *read-only* Open a project and read its state: format, montage length, transcript size and how much is cut, every B-roll and every zoom with its id and its moment (word keys fromKey/toKey, which the gestures take, and montage seconds, which look_at_montage takes), captions, music, silences, and editRevision (give it back as expectedRevision when you write). Read it first, and again after a conflict. | Parameter | Type | Required | Description | |---|---|---|---| | `projectId` | `string` | yes | The project id (from list_projects or clone_project). | ### `clone_project` *writes* Copy a project you own into a new project of the same account, and return the new id and name. Two copies, the same as the two choices of the app's Duplicate action. By default (fresh: true) it is "Duplicate from scratch": the copy starts as right after the transcription: the video, its proxy, what the app measured of it (face, camera card, what the source shows) and the transcript; no cut, no moved passage, no scene or other B-roll, no zoom, no subtitle, no music, no sound effect, silences as recorded. This is the copy for a full edit from scratch. fresh: false is "Duplicate": the whole edit comes along too (cuts, moved passages, B-rolls with their sound effects, zooms, subtitles, music), only when the creator asks to continue an existing edit on a copy. Give the copy a clear name (for example "
